Ratings books is one of the most difficult tasks, specially in consideration of the unregulated nature of the industry (with Australia being the sole exception thus far).
I always try to remain objective with ratings and rely on visits to better assess them. Having been the managing director of a sports book for nearly two years is of great help when I visit an operation as I focus my attention on certain angles that best help me understand if what i see is for real or its just what management wants me to see.
That being said I also give a lot of value to players direct experience as well.
You guys may want to review books ratings (last update 09/12) and share your opinion on them if you find some that are not in line with your own personal assessment or experience.
Thanks.

Well i have only used youwager, pinnacle and 777rock so far this season and i think you should bring rock at least up to youwagers level, they can't even take a book to book transfer from pinnacle.Where as rock being able to take one from pinnacle and cris and i forget witch other ones, made me think that if pinny can trust them ill give them a try. |

Hollywood being rated a 10+. These cocksukkers have a policy of skimming the payout on moneyline parlays. No wonder their "head" guy is called BJ. It's one thing to have low payouts on pointspread parlays such as 35-1 for six teamers and 100-1 for eight teamers. Those are usually posted somewhere on the site and you have a choice whether or not to play into them.
But when you bet a parlay with moneylines, the payout is based solely on multiplying the ml's together. If you are going to deviate from that, you need to say so EXPLICITLY. I can't show an example because you have to have a balance to see a potential payout but unless they fixed their crooked payout calculator software, most parlays will pay 10-25% less than what it should pay. |

Rating system could be improved if different catagories were included. Most important to me are which books have their lines out there first (Sunday night for next weeks games) and what are their limits. The books I deal with, Pinnacle receives an A+, OLympic an A- (small limits on opening lines), Wwts is down to a D- in this regard, and heritage always was a D-.
Of course lack of hassles and attitude of book when they have to pay is another key catagory. Maybe TOW could ask forum members about a different bookshop every few days and post a consensus members' rating. |

If these payouts stay the same in real bankroll mode, I'm going to Hollywood!
Whenever I get some coin to deposit.

When I 1st arrived here at the forum I asked about Rich Coast Sports and it seems to me that it is being rated strictly on rumor and aledged associates. I have some friends who play there and have been very happy with the overall experience and have been paid promptly. I think books should be rated on their performance as a sportsbook, not how they market or hearsay. |

As far as I know, Blue Grass took some big hits and paid them off. Have not heard of any recent problems there.
