Any word on this F1(or Nascar, as shrink puts it)/Olympic ruling? Can't wait to see how Olympic explains this one. Must be a lot of data to go through since it's been like a month. |

Don't know much about F1 in general, but it seems like Olympics course of action, based on their stated rules, makes sense.
Maybe the panel has a different viewpoint. As always, people would love to hear from this panel. Panel? |

Came late to this case. One thing I don't know, did thegreek cancel all wagers on the race and refund losers as well as cancel winners? And when did they make their decision, shortly after they heard of the boycott or later when they added up winners and losers? |

they paid "top 3" and "to win"
they did not pay "to finish in top 8" since less than 8 drivers raced.
there is no new info coming in on this case, it has been rehashed on the forums forever.

Seems our "angle shooter" would have been better off betting his 6 guys to win or finish in top 3. Live and learn. |

kosar, yes and it's probably going to be a couple more weeks as this is a complicated case and we had some delays in gathering information. |

let me first say that I have alot of respect for the work panelists are doing. Its far from easy and requires time, energies, knowledge and all sorts of skills. Panelists are volunteers, they have no remuneration. They have undertaken this commitment as their effective way to improve this industry. I don't think I'm far off when I say that their passion translates in one of the purest and most tangible efforts to contribute to the betterment of the industry.
There was an hold up on information flow due to the fact that Olympic needed some additional time to retrieve all information pertinent to the case from their system. Olympic stores aside information that is more than 60 days old (the case the panel is examining is more than 60 days old) and this is why the delay.
I have personally spoken to Spiro and he is eager to read the panel's ruling.
Mind: this specific case is one of the most complex disputes of the last years. the events of the US F1 Grand Prix were unique and no book had specific rules in place.
I personally don't mind them taking their time to discuss this matter.
Lastly, and FWIW, the dispute arbitration panel has my full and unconditionate support. |

DG,
You must have been distracted lately. I posted some three weeks ago at theRX that Olympic will definitely consider the ruling. Translation: they must be 100% technically convinced to abide to it. |
