Cascade, DSI and Skybook make their way to the top and enter TOW Platinum list.
Cascade widely benefited from the merger with Delmar in July of 2004. The book is in the process to increase its Neteller deposit/withdrawal limits to $50,000. TOW exclusive interview (text and audio) with Cascade general manager Lenny will be published on 9/24.
Diamond Sports International (DSI) enjoys a rating adjustment in view of their association with BetCRIS. the latter fully backs DSI.
Skybook confirms its steady growth thanks to their innovative marketing campaigns and unique promotions. The Company is also focusing on customer satisfaction by investing additional resources in the customer service area. |

didn't DSI come unde CRIS like 3-4 years ago? why the upgrade now?
Skybook is dropping their free half points on basketball, they should be downgraded if anything. That is the only thing that differentiates them from any other book.
RPM, thanks for your obligatory asskissing in this thread!

hmmm...
Somebody said...
12.08.03 (12:23 am EST) - The CRIS and DSI data base is being shopped around, by a couple of their agents, that plan on bolting after the Football season or sooner, they are looking to make a quick score.
so CRIS/DSI have been associated for AT LEAST 2 years
why the upgrade now?

not being a prick. stating facts
DSI merged with CRIS before TOW was even in existence. Why the upgrade now? If there is a reason for an upgrade, state it, don't bring up news for years ago and make that the reason. Helps no one.
Skybook is pulling their biggest promotion, the free half point. How does that warrant an upgrade?
And we have cascade upgraded for some reason, but no mention of their "reduced juice" which is IMO the only real news on them. This is a positive, but not mentioned. Neteller limits to 50k affects approximately 0% of your reader base, -105 lines affects all of them...
focus, guys, focus...
less shilling, more news to help the players...

dg,
seems like ever since you stopped working here, all you want to do it bitch and throw shots. not sure what thats all about.
as far as the upgrades go, have you read anything on the home page? roberto just returned from visiting a bunch of books, so im sure the upgrades are probably related to that in some way. articles and info should be released all this week, so stay tuned.... |

DG,
One thing you should never forget is that, unlike other Web sites, both TheOffshoreWire and TOW Forum cater to an audience relatively new to the offshore industry. While veterans are aware of the connection between BetCRIS and 2betDSI, most players are not. In this respect, while I respect your knowledge, I chose to share it with all players instead of reserving it for a small "elite".
As far as other books go: Skybook well deserves to be in the Platinum list because of the investments they have made in the customer service area. Its a great book with great promo. Yes, some players may not like they are dropping the free half point but my guess is that no one will lose their sleep because of that, while they will certainly continue to benefit from the book's enticing and unique promotions.
Cascade - I just published the interview with Lenny. Its a good read which covers the -105 issue, his booking philosophy and aspects of Cascade's current ownership. |
