TOW readers know which criteria I use to formulate book's ratings.

Financial stability and a flawless track record in payout history is the heaviest factor. Customer service performance, content offering and longevity are other important factors. But players' direct experience with the book is also a "heavy weight" element that I take in great consideration when assessing a rating.

The question then is .... is there any book that players feel is overated / underated and why ?

Players imputs are most welcome....

I know I mentioned this the other day, but Mansion is a site to keep an eye on. They have the best/most user friendly software imo. The lines are great, and the payouts are the fastest I've seen of any site. I know Tow mentioned that they have only been open for about 10 months, but if they continue to run such an amazing book, I see no reason they would not be a tow rating 10+

Tow, I remember you said mansion was rumoured to be owned by a well known Indonesian Tycoon. If that was true, making them very financially sound, would their rating be higher? Or are there other factors I dont know about.

The involvement of Mr. Putera Sampoerna albeit being whispered is yet to be confirmed. This is one of the main reasons their current rating is slightly lower than what players feedbacks would otherwise indicate.

I fully appreciate the work done at The Offshore Wire and check out your site on a daily basis. Needless to say, the ratings system is a huge benefit to gamers. While I agree with the vast majority of your ratings, I must say that I am completely mystified by the generous (IMO) rating for sportsinteraction, especially in light of the recent upgrade from 4 to 6. Both at TOW and sportsbookreview I have read literally dozens of complaints regarding their "service". I myself once had to wait 40 days for a payout, which is completely unacceptable and totally irresponsible. Friends of mine, whom I mistakenly referred this site too, have shared similar experiences. I'm sure they have used every excuse in the book to delay payment, from simply ignoring requests to their all-time favorite: "The documents sent via fax are too dark". Perhaps I've missed something of late as I no longer have an account with them. However, short of a complete "no-pay", I can not think of a singularly more frustrating experience than having to deal with thse absolute clowns.

Stumpage,

I understand what you are saying and agree to your point. However I noticed from direct experience that the vast majority of players, even the ones who file a slow pay complaint from time to time, tend to forgive SIA because of the value punters find in the book's numbers.

If SIA was to be operating in accordance to acceptable payout standards they'd easily rate much higher. Ownership is rock solid. They are mostly sloppy with their "audit" procedures and have serious problems in processing timely payouts by means other than Neteller.

Lastly I have had a chance to appreciate a professional and fast care over four disputes I recently managed on behalf of players.

I think you shouldn't consider player experiences when they tend to forgive slow pays.

Players that find the biggest value in ratings are the ones that don't know about a particular book yet and surely the fact that SIA (or any other book) has money or they're helpful when disputes arise, doesn't make them better to the eyes of a newbie that is having a problem with them.

Tow,

I know it would be a great deal of work on your part, but have you considered posting a review of each book on your site?
It would help players make a more educated decision when choosing a book. If not a review then perhaps a running thread for each book so players could post their experiences? It is great to see the ratings, but with no explaination attached you are asking readers to have a great deal of faith in your judgement. Of course anyone that knows you trusts your judgement. But for a brand new player that comes across your site, they have no idea who you are and therefore have no reason to trust your ratings.

Personally I love your site and the work you guys are doing, keep it up!

regarding SIA

you will have little to no problem withdrawing via Neteller if you have not won an obnoxious amount. Slow pays are generally confined to other withdrawal methods

I fully agree with Roberto's rating on SIA. The amount of value they offer on underdogs is unprecedented. I do not know of 1 sharp player who would not play there.

pier0,

TOW values player's opinions. This doesn't mean that I disregard the primary indicators (financial solidy and payout history) and I am ready to assess poor ratings despite what players suggest. SIA is a case of its own though. Every player, even the ones that have experienced their "audit process" agrees that Sportsinteraction is a must have book.

6 is an objective rating in my opinion. It clearly tells newbies that the book is not a top tier and that they may experience "glitches".

Shaun,

There will be many more reviews added to TOW before the end of July. I totally agree with you that reviews help punters make a more educated decision prior to sign up with a book. Gathering and organizing information is a lengthy process and its currently underway.

Thanks for your constructive feedback.
