Dear Mr. XXXXXXXX,

At this time, management has decided that we are not going to be able to take your action.

Unfortunately, your name is on our Professional Gamblers List.

We appreciate you choosing Legendz Sports.

Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-246-9828 at your earliest
convenience, if you have any questions.

Thank you.

"Professional Gamblers List?  Doesn't seem fair to boot someone wihout even taking a single bet from them.

I respect the prerogative of the books to limit or cut off players who are beating them.  It's an unfortunate part of the business.  But to refuse to take any action whatsoever from a "new player" seems a bit extreme

Two points:

1.  Yes, in principle, it's unfair.  I have no problem with the books having a "Blacklist" of known scammers, multiple account holders, credit card chargebackers, etc. ..... but when there's a blacklist for professional players, winners, line shoppers, even bonus hunters (as long as they abide by the posted rules of the books), then that's going a bit too far.

2.  I can't believe that Legendz Customer Service actually admitted that such a List even exists.

I've spent quiet some time on the phone with Legendz.........

This is their side of the story : Revere14 signed up at 4 am in the morning. All new accounts are being screened, his was during working hours of the same morning......

Their screening is based on available info including charge back lists, scam lists AND sharp action who wagered with Legendz or books that Legendz powers or powered in the past. Eventually Revere14's name was on the latter list.

Based on this information and the company's internal policies Legendz told Revere14 that they would have not catered his business.

Sportbooks are private companies, each with its own philosophy and rules. They are free to accept or refuse business. Players like Revere14 will always confront themselves with this problem, specially if they sign up with books that specifically cater recreational players only, such as Legendz, VIP Sports, Bodog to mention a few.....

Thankfully professional players can find a more liberal attitude with books like Pinnacle, Olympic, CRIS, Grande and Mansion.

Roberto, you mention "scam lists"...who maintains a list like this? Is it by book or is there an industry-wide resource?

Drunkguy,

Books that operate multiple front ends like VIP, Sportingbet, BoS and others have built lists over the years. Players playing with one site are not necessarily aware that the same group owns the next site he tries to pop.....

Additionally there is indeed some sort of communication amongst books not being part of the same group........

if he was a true legit scammer he would have cloned somebodys cable modem and before you even asked how it could be done i know for a fact it can be done with certain modems and the right cable and the s/w to do it.

personaly, i have no reason to explore such things. but, i'm sure really good scammers have and had success with it.
