In another thread here, I said I couldn't resist a good NFL contest (whore - there I said it), and hence end up playing in contests sponsored by not-so-good books.
Any advice on what you guys would consider a stay-away-from book in terms of ranking? These books require a post-up to collect a prize too.
The one I'm currently thinking of has decided to sponsor several contests around the net - haven't seen much of them before. Surprisingly the sites I would normally trust to have good sponsors.
Looking at TOW and SBR, I'd say not-so-good.
I guess I answered my own question (?!!!?). LOL

RPM, thanks a lot. As I mentioned in the PM, I don't want to disparage a book when I don't have much to go on - I've just seen some posts about them that were not too positive. I won't win anyway - LOL. Again, thanks for your advice. |

Be VERY careful with contests at New Books. The only stiffs I've personally had were all because of that. WagersParadise and E-Winner come to mind. I'm a "contest whore" also but there are enough estblished and legit books sponsoring contests aound the net to avoid the newcomers, or places like Royal or BCN.
Youre only inviting a headache later on. |

cossi,
With very slight differences the only two real rating sites, TOW and SBR, provide punters a good indication on sports books.
TOW Platinum and Gold books (9 to 10+) equate to SBR's B+ to A+. Those are the books that provide good to excellent level of service. My recommendation to players who wish to try books rated lower than 9 is NOT to venture lower than 6 and yet, the lower they go, the more likely they are to experience "glitches".
Books rated 5 and lower are defined High Risk for a good reason. I deal with complaints on daily basis and can assure you that 90% of those are related to books rated 5 or lower.
Then again, with a wide selection of highly rated quality books I really see very few reasons to take a chance with poorly rated ones. |

You can't believe everything you read but you should be aware of all you read, and take the time to discover more. |
