Thanks for the compliment RPM but I am far from a good capper. However I did win the July contest on here, going 18-3.
I would have to say apple is the best for bases so far, he's boasting a very nice 65% right now.

Thanks Shaun for the props. Congrats on the July contest win. Rpm I do my best everyday to cap the games that I believe will make some money. As I stated yesterday in a thread that I should be at around 70 to 75% by the end of August. Bases are just what I do best therefor I share my picks only here at TOW. Good Luck on your plays.

do you bet on other sports as well? i do ok with bases but nowhere near that high a percentage. i try to hit a lot of dogs. i take it from that percentage you play mostly favorites?

  I probably bet 65/35 on favorites. I'm pretty open about my inability to cap other sports. Bases is were I excel so I stick with  it. I do bet other sports but only if I have good info or tag on somebody that is hot. One of the reasons I post my picks here is to possibly follow someone during football. Today may not be very nice to me as bullpens are just giving games away. But those days happen to even the best of us.

Applepicks- I haven't watched your picks this year and congrats if you are having a good baseball season. The only thing is that baseball winning % means nothing. If you hit 65% and play only -200 or better favs then you are still having a losing year. GL with your plays.

Raiders, then you need to look back at this years picks before you make a comment on my winning %. My picks are on average 35% dogs to the 65% favorites. So with that being said, my winning % is as solid as units. I'm the one here sharing my picks,not you buddy. So before you open your mouth you better look and do some research on my picks.

Washington +105 winner
Houston -240 loser
Chicago Cubs -140 loser
Boston -125 winner
Seattle +125 loser
 
While 2-3 overall doesn't look bad. Going 2-3 losing a heavy -240 fav and -140 fav is horrible. You lost 2.75 units in 5 plays @ 1 unit/play. You better pass on the challenge.

nice day to pick to grade for me,since it was my worse day here at TOW. But since I'm a "rookie" a nickel on this contest should be fine then. When do we start and how do you want to track it? Rook- We can use similar rules to those used in the contest with Slash and Sheva. Since you are a newbie we either have to post up the money with Roberto or have him guarantee funds.

The contest can start as soon as Roberto has or guarantees funds. The last day will be Aug 31st. You would have to make 50 picks during this time. No fading or piggybacking your opponent. No editing of plays. All picks would have to be in by the listed game time. All plays are listed SP. Any picks made breaking these rules is an automatic 1 unit loss. Favorite plays are to win one unit and dogs are to risk one unit. Roberto or another mod would be the judge on anything not covered or any disputes.

If a mod would like to post lines using Pinnacle, we would use those lines. Do you agree to this?
