Not looking to name any books in particular, just trying to get an idea of what can be improved. My list:

Money transfers should be able to be processed through the website without having to call in or requiring any followup unless there is a discrepancy in the account

Should allow a long time before timeouts on the web (I have never been timed out of a few books, not sure why some books time you out after 5-10 minutes it seems like)

software should allow me to place bets with the fewest number of mouse clicks possible...the less pages I have to navigate through, the better

It should never ever be necessary to call the book in any way. A book like Gibraltar requires you to call in and read them everything from your name and address to your NETeller account ID when you want to withdraw. Complete BS...

When I withdraw, I should be the one deciding how I want to be paid... not the book sending a check without my agreement (Books like MyBookie and Sportsbook911 pulls this trick according to a friend of mine. Glad I never played there myself).

And I don't like books using the Hollywood, Royal, BetJM software that put you on a 15-45 second hold when you confirm your wager in order for them to change the line on you.

Interesting thread.

I can understand books who require to call in for a withdrawal. Its an added security feature that protects both the player and the book.

However I believe books should create a player's file at sign up and not when he requests his payouts. Once all ID tools are properly filed at sign up, identification of the player requesting a payout would be faster and simplified.

Some books "hedge" on this "proper identification" issue when a payout is being requested to "buy" some time. This is a despicable practice, but very common with the vast majority of sportbooks.

ASI, the software slash refers to, has a delay feature like many others do. I understand players' frustration because of this feature. The feature is usually activated by the player's profile, hence sharp players are very likely to be somehow "penalized" by it. It is part of the book's risk management.

While understanding players' frustration I am a firm believer in books that have a proper risk management in place. Sometimes reading forums one gets the impression that players would love books to turn into "charities", Aces Gold and Alladin being the latest examples.

Bookmaking is a business. Players should never forget that. Better having to play low limits at a safe operation than getting "whatever you want" but the certainty to get paid.

I do not like sportsbooks that make you jump throw hoops for a payout...Especially if its neteller..eyes that should be INSTANT 24/7yeah  no questions asked

TOW, how can forcing a player to call in to withdraw be an added security?? If I am out and ask one of my friends to call in my withdrawal using my info, how would they know? The only reason books pull this shit is that they want to buy time and they hope that you prefer to keep your money in the account instead. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Why don't books like Pinnacle, Olympic and Jazz never ever require you to call them?

Incompetence is what gets me.  Call in to get a clarification on a rule, bonus or limit issue & get 3 different answers from 3 different people.  It's enough to make me jump through the phone.

Even then, I can understand undertrained CS reps-it's the norm, but undertrained CS reps who are clueless & then cop an attitude out of frustration.  Those are the worst....and I've actually had it happen when trying to DEPOSIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

V-Wager and Gibraltar require you to call in order to get a payout through Neteller. There's no better security calling in a request than getting it online. If someone has your account info you are screwed either way. If it is a withdrawal via western union or some unusual request then fine, make the player call, but otherwise make it as simple and quick as possible.
