Just got back from it. Thought it was pretty good.
Christian Bale was OK, although he overacts a bit (as usual). Cast was good overall though.
Directing overall was very good. Action scenes were great. They tended to be fast and kind of "blurry"...not over-choreographed, usually just a lot of movement and things flying around, which I kind of enjoyed as a change-of-pace. Lighting was always dark and shadowy, which really added to the atmosphere, and a lot of the scenes involved Batman jumping out of the shadows, grabbing somebody and disappearing.
Story is a little predictable, the ending was pretty obvious to me from early in the movie. Overall it is darker than the other Batman movies.
Not a bad choice though if you need something to do this weekend.
Also thought Katie Holmes did not look her best |
