hows it going VM.

i like my locals because i don't have to go thru all the hassels at all. nor, do i have to post up anything plus if i have any problems it's only a phone call away and i can met with them face to face to solve the problem.

i haven't used locals in a long time

first off, most I have dealt with open up shop late and close early. I like being able to play 24/7 with the internet books

Also can usually get better numbers online unless you have a local who uses stale numbers

Locals from the area I grew up in also had a lot of bad rules and 20c lines in baseball

did yours have a rule of "no push on totals"?  If it pushed, my guy graded it as a loss.  Naturally he never hung lines with hooks, and mysteriously they fell on key #s a lot of the time. cry

That is why I still to this day don't play many totals, just got used to ignoring them

He also paid parlays out at instead of 7-to-3 (or 2.33 to-1) 2.6-to-1 like they should be rolleyes .  I am sure I will think of a few other good ones I had to deal with.  And it was not just one guy, everyone in town followed the same rules.

On the other hand, one good thing about locals is that it is great getting an envelope of cash on Monday instead of a Neteller transfer

Two teams 2.5 -1, 3 teamers 5-1. Two team teasers lost on a tie instead of pushing as come books do on 2 team teaser. Lines came out 1 hour before first game. Shut down after start of first game. Same thing even on Sat and Sun. Only good thing is that lines didn't move and may be off a little.

it's not easy finding a good local anymore thats for sure. but, when you find one or two good ones you will never have to worry about going to an offshore book.
